It’s a sketch from Johnson & Sir’s book.
All About “Thoughtful Dinosaur”
Thoughtful Dinosaur is a new secret project I’m working on – the story of a young lady velociraptor named Billy, fresh from college and trying to figure out how to adult.
The story is based pretty heavily on my own experiences right after college, with a little added seasoning of my older sister’s post-college experience, plus the magical malarkey of Fantasyville.
Aww yes. This comic takes place in Fantasyville, the same town that Johnson & Sir police.
Here’s the first fourĀ comics to give you a taste: Continue reading “All About “Thoughtful Dinosaur””
What I Learned Drawing 2 Sketchbook Pages a Day
I talked a bit before about my goals for this year, and how my goal of writing 1000 words a day was going so far.
Well, one of my other goals was to draw two sketchbook pages a day.
Why Two Pages?
Because I intended one to be for a warm-up for the day, and the other would be an entry into a later eBook. This goal was a way to make me practice my craft and build content.

The Legend of Jamie Roberts is just one comic I’m working on, but I’m at the point in development that I can come up with more solid ideas about character designs, monster designs, environments, and the like.
However, I needed to also distinguish something important in the narrative – the spiritual elements. Continue reading “Comic Page Design for The Legend of Jamie Roberts”
Johnson & Sir’s Campaign is Finished
Johnson & Sir is 100 pages and 2 years worth of silliness with elves, dinosaurs, mustaches, and anime cops. I had a blast making it, talking about it, and making prints and t-shirts for it.
I’m still blown away that the KickStarter to fund the book has not just reached the initial goal, but hit TWO stretch goals! Which means even more rewards for backers.
I want to say, thank you SO MUCH for reading the webcomic, and for all of your support. It’s readers like you that helped make Johnson & Sir be so popular and great.
So what’s next? Continue reading “Johnson & Sir’s Campaign is Finished”
