Robots, C’s, and Radio – A Series of Crowdfunding Campaign Updates

I have a series of crowdfunding campaign updates involving robots, C’s, and radio shows.

Let’s break it down one campaign at a time…

Universal Flaws of Robotics

We reached out to KickStarter and got a deadline extension! We’re now running until August 20.

This is a new feature – I didn’t know KickStarter would let you do this. This is apparently an option you can only ask for if you haven’t hit your goal yet.

Which, yep – we’re still shy of hitting our goal on this one.

So if you haven’t checked out this comics anthology about robots, please do over on KickStarter! Back it if you can, share the link if you’re broke.

This campaign now ends on August 20!

C Stands For…

This anthology from the Columbus Cartoon Coalition is still running to its goal! If met, contributors to the anthology will get a pay bump of $10 per page. If $1500+ is raised, the pay rate goes up to $15/page!

You can help support central Ohio comic artists by checking out the campaign on Crowdfundr, backing it if you can, and sharing the link if you’re broke.

This campaign is running until August 26.

New Punk Signal and Fwishi’shi

These two stories focus on podcasts/radio shows, community, and the power of platonic love. And they’re coming to KickStarter in a 2-books-in-1 campaign!

Now, thanks to a grant from the Toledo Arts Commission, many expenses for these books are covered. But both books will need a little extra to make it to print – plus KickStarter can help distribute these books to more readers.

The page will be live by this Friday, August 16. If you want first dibs on these books and their rewards, sign up for my email newsletter. It’s free and private.

As For Everything Else…

I will be updating my Ko-fi shop to de-list certain items, as those items will be available in the New Punk Signal and Fwishi’shi Kickstarter campaign coming up this weekend.

Speaking of Ko-fi updates, I have changed my commissions offerings! I simplified what I offer by narrowing it down to two main options.

Now, prices for commissions did go up. And that’s because I realized that the prices in my head did not match modern-day, post-inflation pricing. I still have rent to pay and groceries to get, so I upped my rates to cover those as much as possible.

(Now, if you saw the new prices and thought, “What? That’s too high!” First, I get it. Second, email newsletter subscribers and Ko-fi Club members get discount codes on commissions. Pick the outlet that works best for your budget.)

I will also be updating my “Hire Me” page to simplify my offerings and match my pricing to something that will actually help me live and cover bills.

Stay tuned for more updates!

That’s all for now. Thank you for reading!

Livestream: Drawing LOTS of Comics

In tonight’s livestream, I’m drawing lots and LOTS of comics. And there may even be a sneak peek at a bonus reward for Universal Flaws of Robotics! (That’s on KickStarter right now, and running until August 13.)

It’s been a hot minute since I streamed on YouTube! Today at 7 pm EST, feel free to lurk while I work on some comics!

By the way, “C Stands For…” The C3 Anthology is now on Crowdfundr! That’s running until August 26.

And be sure to check out the LIVE STREAM BINGO CARDS, which are available for free download.

DRAG-onball, Day 5: Lil Devil Janemba

This is DRAG-onball Week, a week of Dragonball characters drawn in drag, or otherwise looking ✨fierce✨.

It’s Day 5, the final day – and who shows up but none other than Janemba.

janemba, the red and purple demon from dragonball z fusion reborn, wears sunglasses and a pink crop top that says "lil Devil" across the tits

Don’t know who he is? Take thee to watch Dragonball Z: Fusion Reborn. It’s 45 minutes of sheer wacky hijinks.

Now, the thing to know about the Dragonball Z movies (before Battle of Gods) is – with only one or two exceptions, they are not canon to the TV series. These older movies were made as promotions to show off the anime to people who had never watched it. So you can watch Fusion Reborn and not worry about spoilers.

Janemba is the main antagonist of this movie. Now, he has two forms, but we don’t talk about the first one. This here is an iteration on his second form.

In the original movie, he looks more like this.

screenshot of dragonball z fusion reborn, showing janemba wielding his demonic sword

But let’s face it, that armor is way too busy. It would distract from the shirt I wanted him to wear.

Also, I just…love drawing Janemba.

Look, he’s nonverbal in the original movie, so I played with his expressions with the idea of treating him less like Perfect Cell and more like a demonic Crash Bandicoot out for mayhem. That’s a big part of why I love drawing him – he’s fun! At least how I do it.

This sticker is coming with me, along with the other DRAG-onball art I’ve been showing for the past week. Tomorrow, July 27, I’m taking these with me to Art Loop Mini Mart in Toledo, OH! They’ll also be available in my Ko-fi shop TODAY. yo.

(If you’re a member on Ko-fi, you’re getting these stickers as part of your rewards.)

and before I go to the Art Loop Mini-Mart, there’s a bonus art piece I want to show off…

Watch out for this hunk of candy!

That’s all for now. Thanks for dropping by!

DRAG-onball, Day 4: Vogue Star Jeice

This is DRAG-onball Week, a week of Dragonball characters drawn in drag, or otherwise looking ✨fierce✨.

It’s Day 4, the day we strike a pose with all-rounder Ginyu Force star, Jeice.

jeice from dragonball z is striking a somewhat seductive and saucy pose, wearing a glittering leotard and purple lipstick and blush

Let’s face it – Dragonball characters in drag had to include the Ginyu Force at some point. They’re just so over-the-top. They practically vogue on the battlefield, y’all.

Of the Ginyu Force Members, though, Jeice was easiest to begin with. (It’s going to take some more sketching before I feel comfortable sharing the other Ginyu Force Members.)

So…why this outfit?

I’ll be honest, one look at Jeice and I was thinking of Paula Abdul and the 80s pop scene. So, BIG hair, sequined one-piece suits, bold makeup, the works.

I also came across vogueing competition shorts on YouTube, and LOVED some of the outfits they’d wear and the confidence the dancers would exude. I wanted Jeice to channel those vibes in this piece.

This 4-inch by 6-inch miniprint is coming with me, along with the Fabulous Frieza and Android 18 stickers (and more). On Saturday, July 27, I’m taking these with me to Art Loop Mini Mart in Toledo, OH. They’ll also be available in my Ko-fi shop the same day.

(If you’re a member on Ko-fi, you’re getting these stickers as part of your rewards.)

Stick around for tomorrow’s showing – Lil Devil Janemba!

That’s all for now. Thanks for dropping by!

DRAG-onball, Day 3: Princess Trunks

This is DRAG-onball Week, a week of Dragonball characters drawn in drag, or otherwise looking ✨fierce✨.

It’s Day 3, and today, we say, “ALL HAIL PRINCESS TRUNKS.”

Let me be clear: this is not my joke. This is directly from Team Four Star and their Broly Abridged special. They coined it, they get the credit. They even made a T-shirt for it.

BUT…Trunks deserves to be confident as Drag Royalty.

I would go further about the process, but you can actually watch the process! It’s on this archived livestream from May. Skip ahead to 2:49:18 if you just want to watch Princess Trunks.

Now, I drew this a few months ago with the intent of putting it in an art zine. But then I went, “This would look better as a mini-print.”

So that’s what we’re doing with our beloved drag(onball) princess here.

This 4-inch by 6-inch miniprint is coming with me, along with the Fabulous Frieza (and more). On Saturday, July 27, I’m taking these with me to Art Loop Mini Mart in Toledo, OH. They’ll also be available in my Ko-fi shop the same day.

(If you’re a member on Ko-fi, you’re getting these stickers as part of your rewards.)

Stick around for tomorrow’s showing – Vogue Star Jeice!

That’s all for now. Thanks for dropping by!
