Thoughtful Dinosaur is a new secret project I’m working on – the story of a young lady velociraptor named Billy, fresh from college and trying to figure out how to adult.
The story is based pretty heavily on my own experiences right after college, with a little added seasoning of my older sister’s post-college experience, plus the magical malarkey of Fantasyville.
Aww yes. This comic takes place in Fantasyville, the same town that Johnson & Sir police.
Here’s the first four comics to give you a taste:[envira-gallery id=”2332″]
I call this a “secret project” because right now, it’s only available in two ways…
First, you can support me on Patreon. Patreon is basically my subscription service where you can get new minicomics, sketchbooks, and Thoughtful Dinosaur updates before everybody else does. $1 patrons get subscriptions, but if you pledge more, you can see the comic being made from start to finish, as well as get other perks.
Second, if you just want to read Thoughtful Dinosaur, you can subscribe to my free (and spam-free) newsletter. Newsletter subscribers get updates a day later than Patrons, but they still get new comics. They’re also up-to-date on my newest product releases on Storenvy, Gumroad, and Society6.
I can hear you asking, “Why did you give Thoughtful Dinosaur such limited publishing?”
Well, I actually wanted to steer away a little from a regularly updating webcomic with this project. For one thing, it’s going to be a short series. For another, at the time I came up with the idea, I was getting a little tired of mediating comments on some of my other webcomics. I thought to myself, “You know, it would be great to release a comic to readers and NOT deal with crappy comments.”
Patreon and my newsletter proved to be useful outlets for that. So far, it’s working out.
With all that said, Thoughtful Dinosaur will get a book release late this summer. I’ll update you with more details when the time gets closer. For now, if you want to read the comic, subscribe on Patreon or the newsletter.
That’s all for now. Thank you for reading!
You. Are. Awesome.
