As some project are wrapping up, I’m beginning the search for other freelancing work for art, illustration, and comics. Time to build up portfolios and pitch to people!
In the meantime, I AM available for commissions. My rates can be found here.
(My only rules are I do not draw gratuitous violence or graphic porn. Otherwise I’ll draw it. Any other questions, and you can email me.)
I also have new original art for sale on Storenvy, and digital goods on Gumroad, if you wanted something more.
Why am I hunting around for more work?
Well, I love making comics, but right now they only make me a part-time income (I acknowledge that this is still WAY more than most people make in comics, and I’m grateful that I can even make a part-time living with them).
I DO have a day-job, but I only work at that job two nights a week (and sadly there’s no possibility that I can get more hours). It covers one bill. One bill is not enough.
This is especially worrisome because at the end of August, I’ll have to start getting my own health insurance. Plus, my student loan bill is slated to *magically* double in the same month.
I’m trying to prepare now so I don’t freak the Jeff out in two months.
On top of that, my next goal is to save up for a larger scanner/printer machine. My current one is
- six years old, and
- a pure-blood vegetarian that eats all paper it comes in contact with, and
- absolutely filthy, requiring me to spend way more time on cleaning up things in Photoshop than I would like, and
- tiny. I can’t scan anything larger than 8.5 inches by 11 inches.
A new scanner/printer would make producing comics SO MUCH faster and easier.
I’m still going to go on the job search, but any support via Storenvy, Gumroad, or commissions would be much appreciated.
That’s all for now. I’m going to get to work building up some portfolio pieces.
Thank you for reading!
You. Are. Awesome.
