Streaming Schedule for October 1 & 2, 2022

live streams every saturday and sunday at 2 pm est*. One block says "10/1 Twitch - Day off (because I'm at a gig)." The second block says "10/2 Youtube - Inktober, Day 2!" The bottom block said twitch.tv/kelcidcrawford and youtube.com/c/kelcid. *subject to change whenever the heck I feel like it - or because of conventions or the cruds.

Starting this month, I’m streaming Saturdays and Sundays. On Saturdays, I’m streaming live on Twitch. On Sundays, I’m streaming on YouTube. Both streams will happen at 2 pm Eastern Standard time. To make this easier to track, I’m going to post my streaming schedule here on the blog!

This Saturday, October 1, I’m actually not going to stream. I will be out of town, drawing caricatures for a gig that day.

This Sunday, October 2, I’m streaming on YouTube at 2 pm EST. On that day, I’m drawing for Inktober! Inktober is the artist’s challenge of making a new ink drawing every day during the month of October. I’ll show what I drew the day before, and the process of day 2’s inking.

If there are any changes to the schedule, I will post the update here on this site.

In the future, stream schedules will be announced on Mondays.

Painting the Two Sisters – An Archived Twitch Stream

This originally aired on my Twitch channel on August 27, 2022.

Unlike previous streams, I’m painting traditionally! This painting will appear at Comics Vs Art, an exhibition at Wild Goose Creative in Franklinton, OH (a suburb of Columbus). A print of this piece will also be on exhibit at the McConnell Art Center in Worthington, OH from Sept 15 to November 3rd, 2022.

My streaming schedule is changing. Starting October 2, I’m streaming on Saturdays on Twitch, and Sundays on YouTube. Both will be at 2 pm ET.

Ramses II – Fighting Game Concept Art

This year I have been drawing concept art of fighting game characters. Previously, I posted live streams. Today, I’m sharing a finished art piece – Ramses II.

Ramses II in this conceptual fighting game would be the Zoner archetype. Zoners are very good at keeping their distance and striking with long-range blows. The drawback is they don’t have very much overall health. Frieza from Dragonball Fighterz and Peacock from Skullgirls fall under this archetype.

(For context, I borrowed a lot of these fighting game definitions from pages like this one on Gamerant.)

I draw on my Twitch channel almost every Tuesday and Saturday at 2 pm EST. The exceptions are when I’m out of town for stuff (or I get sick).

The Puppet Master – Fighting Game Concept Art

This year I have been drawing concept art of fighting game characters. Previously, I posted live streams. Today, I’m sharing a finished art piece – the Puppet Master character.

Puppet Master is a fighting game archetype in the character roster. Their gimmick is that they are a fighter who also controls a puppet. For this character, I decided to play with the idea of a “puppet” and make the controlled character a spirit.

My first draft was closer in concept to the Earth spirit dancers of the Bwa people in Burkina Faso. But I decided to revisit the idea and draft a few more takes. I’m very pleased with how this turned out.
